Return of the 'Cuda?

In 2007, rumors began to surface that the Chrysler Group was considering reviving the Barracuda in 2009 alongside the revived Dodge Challenger, which the new 'Cuda would be a sibling to, similar to what the Pontiac Firebird was to the Chevrolet Camaro.

While many fans would like to see this happen, there would be some complications. For instance, since the Plymouth brand was phased out in 2001, the car would be rebranded as the Chrysler Barracuda. Chrysler, which is in the process of an ownership transfer from DaimlerChrysler to Cerberus Capital Management, might also not consider it for money-based reasons. It remains to be seen if the 'Cuda sees a resurrection in the near future or not.
